Keeping kids safe
This website is for parents and teachers.
The place for kids is the app.
You're in charge.
Outside school, a parent or guardian sets up or approves the accounts of younger kids. At school, teachers set up accounts. Young adults on the Maverick track (17+) can sign up on their own. Parents can change a child's learning track in the app. Behind the parent PIN, you can see, download and delete your child's data, and download or delete your own account.
Virtual money only.
The app never moves any money. Coins are virtual, and you can choose to set a cash rate for coins and pay an agreed reward outside the app.
Real-world projects need a parent.
Launchpad helps kids start a real small business outside the app, so it needs a parent's approval. If your child tries a business idea in real life, please stay involved, keep it close to home, and never let your child meet strangers or share personal details online.
Privacy online
Usernames, not real names.
We don't collect children's real names, dates of birth or home addresses. The community leaderboard is off until it's switched on by you or your child's teacher. When it's on, no one else can see your child's username.
At school.
Teachers create usernames for their class and see only their own class. Any list that matches usernames to students stays with the school, outside the app.
Your family's information.
We don't use third-party tracking in the app. It's kept securely with our trusted providers, who have their own requirements for storing data securely in line with global regulatory requirements.
Kids can ask too.
Your child can check the "My info" page in the app, and can ask you, the teacher or us to see or delete the information we hold. We'll confirm a deletion in writing within 30 days.
